Daffodil Express is filling up fast

With still three weeks to go there are only 100 seats left on the 10th September excursion to the annual Carterton Daffodil Festival.

The 500 seat train usually sells out and the 2017 run will be no exception.

What is now for many a time-honoured tradition, the festival includes the picking of daffodils at Middlerun, a historic property in Gladstone. Buses transfers are provided departing throughout the day from Broadway, to shuttle eager festival goers to and from Middlerun.

Carterton District Council’s Kate Jurlina says “The festival will be as wonderful as ever with the Big WaiArt Sale, live music, the Daffodil Express Steam Train excursion and all the fun of the fair!”

The train departs Wellington at 8.40am for Carterton giving four hours to enjoy the festival.  It arrives back into Wellington at 5pm.
