The Daffodil Express PosterThe Daffodil Express - Sunday 12th September

From Wellington to Carterton and return giving a few hours to attend the annual Carterton Daffodil carnival. This includes a visit to the nearby daffodil fields to pick your own daffodils. Expected departure time from Wellington is 8.40am, arriving back at 5pm. An excellent Fathers Day gift!

Carterton to Masterton & return - Sunday 12th September

Enjoy a short ride behind a steam locomotive from Carterton to Masterton and return. Departs Carterton 10.55am, arriving back at 1pm. One fare adult or child $13 return.

Excursions on the Napier – Gisborne Line

Following the huge success of recent runs of our diesel hauled “Endeavour Express” over this line we are trying to slot in some additional trips during 2010.

Heartland Steam Tour – October 2010

A short tour covering many of our regular destinations in 7 days. From Wednesday 13th October to Tuesday 19th October 2010.

Over night stops at Napier, Gisborne, Feilding and Wanganui. Most sectors will be hauled by steam locomotive Ja1271 and using our set of red heritage carriages. Highlights include travel over the Napier-Gisborne rail line, and the use of Wa165 from GCVR and Wab794 from F&DSRS on some sections. Depot visits will include the Pahiatua Railcar Society, Feilding & Districts Steam Rail Society and Steam Incorporated.

Xmas Wine & Dine Train Saturday 4th December 2010 **TBC**

We hope to again run a Saturday evening train from Wellington to some Horowhenua locations for a Xmas meal. The train will be hauled by a heritage diesel locomotive. Ideal for end of year group functions. Phone 0800 783 264 to discuss options.


The Eketahuna Express - Saturday 8th January 2011

Our traditional Xmas/New Year trip into the Wairarapa. From Paekakariki via the Manawatu Gorge to Woodville, Eketahuna and Masterton. Will include a new destination option of a visit to an Opaki (Masterton) vineyard.
