Art Deco

A major train progamme that was operated on behalf of the Art Deco Trust for the annual Napier Art Deco Weekend for over a decade.

Kapiti Vintage

Two foodie trains showcasing local produce from Kapiti and Horowhenua. The “Kapiti Vintage” carrying patrons to an afternoon banquet at the old milk factory in Otaki.

Petone Anzac

Anzac day 2016, on behalf of KiwiRail a special train using Ab608 “Passchendaele” to help commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Petone Anzac Memorial flagpole services.

Jazz Charter

The train heads north to the National Jazz Festival in Tauranga on board the sounds of jazz in one of the train's oldest carriages.

Rotary End Polio Fundraiser

A charter arranged by a group of Rotary Districts to help raise funds to End Polio Now.
Train ran from Kapiti to Taihape and return. Rotarians greeted the train at some intermediate station stops.

Marlborough Flyer

Our largest regular operation that started five years ago on behalf of Pounamu Tourism.
The Marlborough Flyer is a heritage tourist train mainly for the benefit of cruise ship passengers visiting Picton which runs during the summer months from Picton to Seddon. Initial trips ran just to Blenheim.

North Pole Express

Since 2017 we have been providing our train to Ontrack Events to run the North Pole Express . A special train running from Kapiti to the North Pole offering a magical Christmas experience during the journey.

Kapiti Coast Pullman

A private charter that offered Pullman service to the guests on a trip from Kapiti to Woodville running via the Manawatu Gorge. The charter made extensive use of one of our table cars and lounge car. The addition of a second table car to our fleet in late 2023 will double the table seating we can offer. Always a popular feature with groups.
