The Mad Hatter's Market Express

Bring the family up into the heart of the Manawatu on the steam train, and enjoy a fun filled day at Woodville's famed Mad Hatter's Market Day. Hauled by Ja 1271, our 1956 built steam locomotive. Join the train at Paekakariki, Paraparaumu, Waikanae, Otaki, Levin or Palmerston North. Upon arrival at Woodville, there is the option to walk up to the square, or travel by shuttle bus up.

The Ashhurst Flyer

Travel with the Steam Incorporated team by heritage train as we traverse the Manawatū Gorge, taking in the sights of the rarely seen river, now inaccessible by road. From our heritage train, we see some of the huge infrastructure involved in the creation of the Te Ahu a Turanga Highway. All aboard the Ashhurst Flyer behind Ja 1271!

River City Express

Arrives: 8pm Paekakariki

Travel to the beautiful river side town of Whanganui, hauled by both steam locomotive Ja 1271 and heritage diesel electric locomotive, Da 1431. Choose between doing your own thing, or jumping on a serene cruise of the Whanganui River onboard the coal fired paddle steamer "PS Waimarie".
